  After a long professional career as art dealer in a mayor Madison Avenue gallery in Manhattan, it was only natural that Teresa Martinez would open Galeria del Centro in Pozos. Here you can add to your serious art collection an original Rembrandt or Picasso etching. Also available are works by contemporary Mexican artists Juan Soriano, Jose Luis Cuevas, Tamayo, Zuñiga, and sculptor Ricardo Ponzanelli. Our stable of artists in Galeria del Centro, include Annemarie Slipper, Gary Slipper, Helmut Gransow, Jose Fors. Works by Joy Laville, Roger Von Gunten, Herman Schenkel and Antonina Canal are also on display.

EMPORIO POZOS - THE STORE

  Lace birdcage lamps, copper pitchers, leather credenzas, Egyptian carpets, Portuguese hand-blown crystal, art-deco vases, leather ponchos, steamship wardrobe trunks, hats, antique wicker rocking chairs, angel candelabras, are just a few of the items available for your shopping experience in Emporio Pozos.

  During the height of production by the old mining companies in Pozos, the rich hacienda owners could buy items like this in the 'Fabricas de Francia' ("French Factories") general store. Many of the available items were imported from Europe, to suit the tastes and pocketbooks of the owners of the mining companies. In that opulent era, the local currency was gold, and gold nuggets. From here we resurrect the idea of making these type of items available for your shopping enjoyment in Emporio Pozos, within the walls of Casa Mexicana.
